Part of the local community
Back in 1964, the people of the Northern Rivers community were looking for a more flexible, approachable, and responsible banking alternative. Six decades later and Summerland Bank is still delivering more of what the locals want, with community at the heart of all that we do.
The Nimbin Show
We believe in supporting local farmers, artisans and businesses that contribute to the social and environmental wellbeing of the region. By sponsoring the Nimbin Show, we hope to strengthen our ties with the community and promote our vision of a sustainable future.
Supporting the Careers Expo
At Summerland Bank, we believe in empowering our community’s future leaders. That’s why we were thrilled to participate in the recent career’s expo at the Nimbin Central School.
Our Rising Stars scholarship
Awarded a new three-year scholarship to Isabella Dowd as part of Southern Cross Universities ‘Rising Stars’ program where we have been helping local students with their studies since 1994.
Helped raise funds for Temika
Lucky to be protected in the pouch after her mother was hit by a car, Temika spent time in Koala Kindy and was successfully released. Temika loves to cuddle and eat eucalyptus leaves.
Bangalow Koalas
We are proud to sponsor the Bangalow Koalas over a three-year period to support the Northern Rivers corridor. Our investment focuses on purchasing, planting, and maintaining trees to create a sustainable habitat for koalas.
