What is the Recruitment Process?
The steps to joining us:
- Your application: including resume and cover letter explaining your interest and fit, and your understanding of Summerland Credit Union, together with a short statement (no more than a couple of pages) which addresses the key responsibilities and selection criteria in the position description
- Online video interview
- Emotional intelligence (EQ) testing
- An interview with the selection panel
- Reference and background checks
Will I be advised about my application?
Your application will be assessed based on your skills, experience and response to the selection criteria. If your application is not considered competitive, we'll write to you and advise you as soon as possible after the closing date.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone or email in regards to the next stage of the recruitment process and arranging an interview. If you have any special requirements to enable you to attend the interview, (eg building access, communication assistance) please let us know when you are contacted, so that arrangements may be made.
What will happen at the interview?
At the interview you will be asked questions relating to the selection criteria, the functions of the position and your skills, knowledge and experience. You'll also be given an opportunity to ask questions about the position or company to gain any further information.
Do I have to provide referees?
To assist with your application, you should provide the names and telephone numbers of two people who may be contacted about your application. It's advisable to include previous work supervisors or colleagues, as both referees will be asked to provide information on your past employment and work performance, relevant to the selection criteria for the position.
