Changes to Fees and Charges

It is important that we review our fees and charges from time to time to ensure we are providing fairer fees overall and that all our customers have access to competitive products and services.

In our most recent review we have worked to simplify our fees and charges to assist customers in making more informed decisions when selecting products and services and choosing how you bank with us and transact on your accounts. 

We believe our new fees and Access packages are fairer overall and meet the needs of customers who prefer to bank electronically, as well as those who continue to enjoy the experience of our in-branch service.    

Everyone’s needs are unique and the manner in which you transact on your accounts and bank with us will determine any fees and charges you pay. 

From the 1st of November the following changes will be effective.

Current Fee Package

NEW Access Package effective - 1st November 2018

Premium Home Loan

If you hold a Premium Home Loan with us you have had access to a wide range of transaction fee waivers and paid no monthly access fee.  This will continue.

 

First Choice

From the 1st of November your new package will be called Essential Access

Designed for those who enjoy the personal experience of banking in-branch, our Essential Access package has no monthly access fee and 6 free staff-assisted transactions every month. 

You continue to enjoy unlimited direct credits and internal transfers via internet banking or when selecting ‘credit’ or using payWave on your Visa Debit Card or Wearable.

Whereas some fees could have been up to $3.50, we’ve lowered the average transaction amount and simplified our fees.  Now the maximum fee you will pay for an eligible transaction is $2 and this fee only applies after you have used your 6 free staff-assisted transactions each month.

From the 1st of November your new package will be called Easy Access

Designed for those who appreciate the convenience of managing their money their own way, our Easy Access package provides unlimited electronic transactions* for just $6 per month ($3 for those 65 and over or in receipt of a pension).

Previously if you were under 18 you paid no monthly access fee.  The good news is we’ve extended the age range to include those aged under 25 years. 

If you are a student, apprentice or trainee at a recognised Australian education institution you will continue to pay no monthly access fee, whilst ever you remain a student*.

While customers on Easy Access don’t typically visit us in branch we do understand that there may be the odd occasion when you need staff assistance with a transaction.  For this reason we've also changed our Rebate Scheme. Under this access package, you receive one free staff-assisted transaction every month irrespective of the balance in your account.

In addition you will still continue to receive a rebate on your monthly access fee based on your combined loans, savings and investments as shown in the Fees, Charges & Transaction Limits schedule attached.

Business Plus

When we reviewed the transaction behaviours for our Business account holders we found more than 90% of transactions were performed electronically.  As a result we've revamped and streamlined our fees and charges for business customers.

For our Business customers we've kept the monthly account fee at the same low amount of $10 per month. 

You will continue to receive free internal, external & BPAY transfers via internet banking and the banking app. We've also increased the number of other free transactions* to 20 per month. Additional transactions that do incur a fee now attract a flat cost of $0.75 each.

Community First

Because we recognise the importance of community organisations and the role they play in the health and vitality of our local villages, towns and communities, Community First account holders will continue to pay no monthly access fee. We've streamlined our fees and charges for Community First account holders.

You will continue to receive the same free inclusions for electronic transfers, plus we've increased the number of free transactions* to 20 per month. Additional transactions that do incur a fee are now a flat cost of $0.75 each.

Currently you are on the Member Choice fee package and hold a Community First Account. From the 1st of November the Member Choice fee package will be called Easy Access. The changes to package inclusions will apply to any additional transaction accounts you hold (excluding additional Community First accounts).
