Canberra United Renews Agreement

Following last season’s successful partnership, Summerland Football is thrilled to announce its renewed sponsorship of Canberra United as the club’s Official Banking Partner.

After clinching last season’s Premiership, and the third in the club’s history, Summerland Football is looking forward to another successful season on and off the pitch for the W-League club.

The agreement further illustrates Summerland Football’s commitment and passion for the game in ACT, following partnerships with the region’s governing body, Capital Football as their Official Banking Partner, and recent sponsorship of the Kanga Cup in the first week of July.

Capital Football CEO, Phil Brown said, “we are delighted to have Summerland Football back on board as the Official Banking Partner of Canberra United. Their involvement with the club and community as a sponsor is first-rate, so it will be great that we can showcase their award-winning financial services and products to the Canberra United family once more.”

Margot Sweeny, Summerland Football CEO, was delighted that the organisation would be supporting the women’s game at the highest level. “The most exciting aspect of this partnership with Canberra United is being able to connect with the passionate supporters in ACT. We were overwhelmed by the support and love for the club we witnessed last year, so it’s fantastic we have the opportunity to extend this agreement,” she said.

Summerland Football welcomes new coach, Heather Garriock and looks forward to seeing how Michelle Heyman and the team get on in their opening fixture, away at Melbourne Victory on Saturday 28th October.
