When you first take out a loan it's because you know you can afford to, but job loss or a change in health can leave you struggling to make your repayments. Consumer Credit Insurance (CCI) offers you protection and peace of mind against unforeseen events that could cause financial stress.
There are four (4) main risks that CCI can cover you for: death, trauma, sickness and accident, or involuntary unemployment.
Depending on the type of protection you have selected, CCI can cover your loan repayments if you're unable to work due to sickness or injury, or if you become involuntarily unemployed. In the event of your death, life cover will repay your outstanding loan balance. If you suffer a heart attack, stroke, cancer, or have coronary artery surgery, trauma cover will pay a lump sum selected benefit of up to $50,000 directly to you.
This protection is optional, although recommended by Summerland. Eligibility conditions may apply. Before acquiring this product, please determine if it's right for you. See us for details.
